-

CC
CC is one of our longest-serving horses and is a very special member of our herd. Originally a ranch horse, CC has an energetic gait and the sensitivity to anticipate seizures in riders.
-

Cranberry
One of our newest herd members, Cranberry is a Paint Pony from Gerda’s Equine Rescue in Townshend, Vermont. She’ll eat just about anything (just don’t ask her to share). Her favorite activity is getting her itchy spots scratched.
-

Dixie
Dixie is a Welsh pony who shines most when she works with our youngest children and those using wheelchairs. She’s patient with a playful side— as everyone who has had their zipper pulled by Dixie knows!
-

Luna
Luna is a Welsh pony who loves people. Her small size and approachable personality makes her a perfect match for our youngest riders.
-

Paloma
Paloma is a Quarter Horse pony whose previous career was as a trail horse. She is very sweet and loves to be in your pocket. She frequently talks to both her horse and human friends around the farm.
-

Rosalita
One of our tallest horses, Rosalita is a 16.3 hand Czech Warmblood. This gentle giant is a retired show jumper who was donated by a generous community member. She loves to lick people and receive all the attention - she’s been known to push other horses out of the way when people are nearby! Rosalita and Cranberry became fast friends and they live together in our run-in paddock.
-

Tango
Tango has settled in beautifully as one of the newest members of our herd, proving to be great for both kids and adults to ride. His distinct coat makes him instantly recognizable as an American Paint Horse.
-

Frisky and Coco
Frisky and Coco are the first miniature donkeys to call Pony Power home. Donated from a loving family in Vermont, they are sweet, gentle, and so much fun to be around. Frisky (right) particularly loves young children. He’s a foodie and will talk or squeak for a treat, especially carrots. Coco (left) likes both people and dogs — she was great friends with her previous owners’ dog Elsa. Their size and temperament make Frisky and Coco perfect for children and adults to groom and learn to lead walk.
-
Peggy
Peggy is a free-spirited Guinea Hog. She sports long, thick, black hair most of the year (except in the summer when she opts for a shorter look). Peggy enjoys walking all around the farm and has been known to attempt some great escapes!
-

Clara, Clover And Tulip
The girls move around the farm eating down our invasive grasses.
-

Chickens
Our chickens do a great job of improving soil health as they graze in the Farm in the Forest garden. Fun fact – you can tell what color egg a chicken will lay by looking at their earlobes! Ours lay brown, green and light blue eggs.
-

Bees
Our beehives are located at the north end of the property. Each hive has its own queen and together they number approximately 40,000. We supplement their diet with sugar water during colder times of the year, but as the weather becomes warmer, they forage out in nature. We also have a built-in observation hive so school groups and summer participants can see the queen and her worker bees in action.
